Telenutrition is the use of electronic information and telecommunications technologies to support virtual health care through patient and professional health-related education. Telenutrition includes the use of interactive equipment for the purpose of consultation, nutrition intervention/plan of care, diagnosis, disease prevention, and health promotion, coupled with non-interactive communication such as fax or email.
